I bought this for my 5 year old autistic daughter. Her therapist said stringing beads would be a good activity for her. The beads are the perfect size. It comes with 2 strings and the carry bag. My 8 year old son also thinks they are fun.

Use for at home preschool, chose over Melissa and Doug
“My son is 3.5 and has a whole slew of developmental issues. We tried mainline schools and when that fantastically failed I brought him home and started a home based pre-school. Well-made items such as this have made up the backbone of our school tools. We usually stick to Melissa and Doug, but I found these to be better made and appreciate that they have more variety in the shapes and colors. My little guys likes them too and is making progress using the product itself, which is very exciting to see.”

She loves them!
“I bought these for my not quite two-year-old granddaughter who lives with me. The beads are large enough that she can handle them easily, and the variety of colors keeps her attention. The holes in the beads are the right size for the shoelace, but the shoelace is somewhat flimsy and floppy. It makes it difficult for her to string them. I purchased a set of colored pipe cleaners and she handles these much better than the shoelace. The bag is brightly colored and made of a sturdy fabric. At this point, she is mostly pulling the beads from the bag and announcing the colors. She goes through and picks out the round ones. Those are her favorites. All in all, a great toy with lots of possibilities.”

Great for toddler hands
“I have to say I was worried these beads may be to hard to handle with the children I work with, yet their size is PERFECT! These are a great fine motor skill for older toddlers to learn and show off their skills! Will recommend to parents who see how their children are able to manipulate the beads in their hands without getting frustrated.”
